Currently, I’m writing this blog post while I eat my delicious breakfast on a Saturday morning. What could be better than sitting at your home & writing a post for your blog? I’ve missed writing and talking to my readers so much. Since from the beginning of December, I’ve been busy with schoolwork because I’ve to study for my exams. My 1st term will be ending on 19th of January which is so close! I couldn’t be more excited because my finals are going pretty well & the holiday is coming. Anyways, I just felt like I should do a quick life update.
This blog post is the first one of 2018, which is so exciting. It’s also going to be my first ” How To” blog post. I’ll give some tips to get motivated even if you’re feeling stressed because of your school/work. I’ll also mention about my own experiences and maybe I’ll recommend a self-care book.
How To Get Motivated
Maybe you’re stressed and feel like you can’t do anything. I know this feeling very well; sometimes I get so demotivated then I can’t write anything for my blog. And I also can’t study or do my homework. It’s the worst feeling ever. But I have some tips for you to achieve this problem and you’ll feel better!
The fact that you aren’t where you want to be, should be enough motivation.
1.Write down your thoughts
I use this method when I feel sad because I love writing down my feelings. Writing down your feelings will help you to feel better because you learn how to express yourself. Sometimes it’s not easy to talk about the truth and your thoughts but you should try this method to feel better after your anxiety or demotivation goes away.
2.Read a self-care book
I’m always reading a self-care book and it’s helping me to feel better and get motivated at the same time. After I started reading this kind of books, I started to be more grateful for everything I have and also I’m happy to have my family & friends around me. I suggest you to buy a self-care book and bring it with you wherever you go.
I’ll be traveling by train next Friday to the capital, where my cousin lives. I’ll bring a fiction book and also a self-care book with me because when I feel stressed, I love reading that kind of book. I bought this book called “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck: A Counterintuitive Approach to Living a Good Life”. Maybe you’ve heard it before because it’s a popular book right now. You can get more information from here. I’ll start reading that book this week so I’ll keep you guys updated!
3. Do what you love
Maybe you think that this is a cliche but it isn’t. It really helps you to feel better when you are stressed about your school or your relationship with someone. When I feel sad and get demotivated for no reason I love cooking and baking new recipes. I also love watching my favorite tv series (if you want to read about [click here]. Last but not least I love spending my time playing The Sims 3!! I’m obsessed with it and I’ve been playing it since 2013.
4. Watch YouTube Videos
I love watching YouTube videos because I always find different kind of videos for my interest. When I feel depressed, I watch motivational videos and it inspires me a lot. Being a high school student isn’t easy and sometimes I need inspirational videos to watch. The best place to reach motivational content is probably YouTube. You should definitely spend more time on YouTube (I don’t talk about watching makeup videos tho).
That’s all for this post. I hope 2018 will be amazing for all of us. Do what you love, eat healthy (but you should eat cheat food too!!), do your exercises and spend time with your family & friends. These are my priorities for this year.
