Hello everyone!

It’s been so busy and hectic since we got into 2019. Although I thought everything will be the same this year, there are a lot of changes in my life. A quick recap of what I’ve been doing since the beginning of 2019: I quit eating refined sugar (obviously includes dark chocolate, my guilty pleasure), received high grades from exams, learned to spend quality time with loved ones, and signed up to a gym, which is the topic of today’s post.

I never stopped doing workout so I can easily define myself as an athletic person. When you work out and stay active on a regular basis, it’s not just a coincidence that you feel less stressed out, less anxious, and generally happier. Now I’ll mention why exercise makes us happy.

It makes you less stressed out: Not only will working out ease stress in the short term by helping you sweat out the day’s worries, but regular exercise will also help you become less stressed out in the long term as well.

It boosts your confidence: When you don’t feel good about your body or how you look, it’s all too easy to have low self-esteem. But when you start to exercise and see your body transform, that can quickly change. Because exercise will not only make you like how you look, it will also make you feel stronger, more independent, and more confident.

The next time you’re feeling down, stressed or anxious, get off the couch and get some exercise instead. I try to exercise 5-6 times per week. I know that sounds too much, but I don’t lift weights. Most of the time I walk on a treadmill, do some exercises on the mat, attend yoga and pilates classes. I feel so energized and motivated after I exercise that’s why I try to sustain a healthy lifestyle.

Work out because you love your body, not because you hate it.

What to do after you signed up to a gym?

To accomplish one of your new year’s resolutions, you decided to sign up to a gym nearby. I know that feeling; new beginnings, new healthy eating habits… But what is the key to sustain this routine?

I believe the most crucial thing to motivate yourself to go to the gym is dreaming about the body you want. If you don’t think about how your body is going to change and will be the best of itself; then you won’t find enough inspiration to exercise.

One of the best investment that you can do to yourself is exercise regularly and eating clean. With these two comes also happiness and wellbeing.

Don’t be scared of trying something new! Attend group classes at your gym.

The Importance of Your Diet
